Faerie Path #3 The Sorcerer King The Frewin Jones Books

Tania, who walks between both the faerie world and the mortal world, is a hero that any teenager can relate to. She is searching for love and discovers herself and her strength during the quest. You really need to read the first two books to be able to get into this one. It does move much more quickly than the others, however.
It is a fast read, with the story pulling you into it as the group of intrepid travelers encounter roadblock after roadblock but manage to escape or triumph every challenge.
I really liked this book. It shows how a girl can be strong, determined, love her family, and still have an amazing time. (The cool thing is that this girl has two families, a mortal one and a faerie one.)

Faerie Path #3 The Sorcerer King The Frewin Jones Books Reviews

Once again, Frewin Jones takes you on a mystical, suspenseful ride into the land of Faerie in her third book of THE FAERIE PATH series.

Returning to Faerie with her sisters and long-lost mother, Tania is shocked to find that the Sorcerer King has caused her beloved home to become a rotting and dead mess. The princesses realize that the only way they can beat him is to free their father, Oberon, from the Amber Prison.

And so they embark on their perilous journey, where they will find danger, friendship, adventure, hope, and love.

A stunning third book that delivers a thrilling adventure that all will fall in love with, THE SORCERER KING is slightly more serious than its predecessors, but holds all of the same charm and spirit.

Returning from the Mortal World with her sisters, mother, and true love, Edric, Tania's journey continues in the third book of Jones's exquisite Faerie Path series. A near death encounter with the King of Lyonesse's knights at the end of the second book (The Lost Queen, 2007) is not to be celebrated, for they find Faerie in a dire state. Everywhere there is death and decay, and their true king Oberon is being held prisoner. Trapped from all sides, Tania, Edric, and a few sisters find themselves responsible for freeing their father, and mounting an attack against their enemies...a deadly attack that someone may not survive...

It becomes evident to the reader in this third installment that Jones's writing has vastly improved since The Faerie Path debuted. Her delivery is true, and the dialogue is authentic. The endless plot twists and struggles that the main characters encounter propel the reader quickly through the story, and added bits of myth and legend give it substance. Though at times Tania's relationship with her sisters seems to get in the way of any interaction between her and Edric, the reader will be able to look past it easily and delve into this inviting and refreshing novel that has all of the trimmings of a true fantasy classic wrapped up in a clever and modern package.

The Sorcerer King is the third in the series; which, as I have not read the other two, makes it a very interesting book. I have before started a series with a book other than the first, just to see if it works as a stand-alone, a challenge to the author, if you will. The Sorcerer King didn't do so well.

The story began like a chapter, not a book. I can only imagine the frustration of people who read the second Faerie Path book. If the ending of the second flowed smoothly with the beginning of the third, it must have been some cliffhanger. It frustrated me, and made the whole book read like a TV episode.

The plot itself was good, if a bit too forced. I found myself getting confused and things that were important flashed before my eyes in a second. Causing me to go back and try and figure out what exactly happened. I was never exactly sure who was where and what was happening. And every single thing, even normal things, had a made-up name. The author was trying to hard to make a typical story original.

Also, a good book in a series should tell you what happened before, but leave you wanting more detail, therefore getting you to read the other books. The Sorcerer King did the opposite. It gave me just little snippets of things, not enough to let me know what they're talking about unless I have read the other books. This did not make me happy. And left me lost and behind as the story unfolded.

Perhaps I was just too old for this book. I have always been of the mind that books are for all ages, but sometimes books just aren't meant for older readers. Someone attempted to make this book really detailed and in the end just made it really complex, so that the intended audience wouldn't understand.

I want to make it clear that I really liked the actual story. I just think that the author's execution of the story wasn't fantastic.
Love this series.

Those book for my daughter. Thanks.
This book is excellent. Not only is this book good for the are group described, but it is also good for adults too. I didn't want to stop reading it. After finishing the book, I wanted to read the next book in the series right away.
