Sign of the Moon Warriors Omen of the Stars #4 Erin Hunter Owen Richardson Allen Douglas 9780061555183 Books

Few important cats died or rose from the dead in this book. However, Jayfeather's trip to the Tribe of Rushing Water has proven to be utterly pointless and a way to fill pages. After all, the only thing the Clan cats are doing with the Tribe, is help the Tribe with something that so far doesn't affect Clan life. Charity is cute, but in this case doesn't help the plot. Jayfeather walks with the ancient cats again and we learn how the Tribe came to settle in the mountains, but does anyone really care, is it relevant?

As for Clan life, very few important things happen there. A few discoveries barely justify the lenghty sub-plots most of which are not moved forward by the events in this book.

But of course, you have to read it if you want to read the whole story.

As always there are errors and hilariously, "pain in the tail" has actually become "pain in the butt" at one point. Also, one cat spoke of years rather than seasons. So people who enjoy finding the many goofs Erin Hunter make, will find a few fresh ones in this one.

Sign of the Moon Warriors Omen of the Stars #4 Erin Hunter Owen Richardson Allen Douglas 9780061555183 Books Reviews

This book takes place in the Warriors world, where cats live in the wild in groups called Clans. It's written from the perspective of four ThunderClan cats Lionblaze, Jayfeather, Dovepaw, and Ivypaw. They live in their Clan in the rich forest beside a sprawling lake. I found this book exiting and interesting, and encourage others to read it.

The story starts when Ivypaw and Dovepaw pass their warrior assessments and receive the names Ivypool and Dovewing. Shortly thereafter, Jayfeather, ThunderClan's medicine cat, is told by the ancient cat Rock to journey to the mountains overlooking the lake, where a group of cats known as the Tribe of Rushing Water is at risk of destruction. While Jayfeather and Dovewing journey to the mountains, Lionblaze and Ivypool stay behind to protect the Clans from the threat of the Dark Forest, which is full of the spirits of evil cats who were denied entry to StarClan after their deaths. Recently, they have been recruiting living Clan cats to help them take over the Clans, meaning no one can be trusted...

Meanwhile, Jayfeather takes a journey through time, back when cats first came to the mountains. They had been convinced to come, and now they must be convinced to stay. This important task leads Jayfeather to struggle not just with the stubborn ancient cats, but also with his own heart. I will not reveal exactly what happens (because that would be mean of me), but I will tell you this the mountains are not meant to be empty. Cats must always live there...

I don't know how they keep cranking-out these cat book stories, but they do and they're good and interesting stories well told.

Of course it's essential to read these books in the series order rather than just randomly pick one up, but given that, these books are very enjoyable reads for cat lovers - and not at all restricted to young adults.
This book was the best book I have read so far from the Omen of The Stars series. Who will the fourth be???? What will the next book tell us? The very ending made me cry where The very first Stoneteller (Half Moon) said "I will wait forever for you Jay's Wing!". So sad Half Moon and Jay's Wing (Jayfeather) should be together. Like Jayfeather said Its not FAIR!!! Their Destiny should be together!!! I will never forget them they are the best forbidden couple that should have been. This is another review coming from Rushingpaw (Minecrafter and Warrior cat Fan to heart!). I highly suggest these books to anyone from the age range 7 and older. I Was 11 when I first started. I thought they would be stupid but I was wrong they were just... EPIC!!!!!! I finished reading each book at around 3 days. And boys if you think that these are all girly books well then you are WRONG!!!!! I am not a boy but a Tom boy but trust me your gonna love these books!

At one time, I was wondering what would happen if the Dark Forest cats started to have more of an influence on the living cats....and I don't have to wonder any more. In my opinion there was a slight lull in the Warriors series, and sometimes I wondered if the warrior cats story was being done to death, but I've really been enjoying this new generation of stories. A lot of characters have shown to be driven by very complex emotions. Ivypelt is a great example.

I've been taking a break from Warriors lately because I've been a bit busy but I can't wait to get reading again and see how the whole Starclan and Dark Forest war works out. It's easy to say that of course Starclan will win, but there have been a ton of twists in the plot that make me not so sure, though I hope that everything does work out well (or as well as it can).
One of the best instalments of the warriors series. I was blown away by the beautiful writing and the twisty, curvy, mind blowing plot.

SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ IF YOU DONT WANNA KNOW!

In this book Jay feather revisits the tribe with dove Wing, squirrel flight and Fox leap. Meanwhile lionblaze stays with the clan and begins to prepare for the battle to come. The dark forest grows creepily strong stronger, perhaps, than Star clan. Not good. We receive huge hints as to what happened to hollyleaf, finding that she is still alive and possibly still living in the tunnels. We also realize a new prophecy, "three must become four to fight the darkness" or something to that effect, meaning that in the next book we will most likely fond out who the fourth is. Great book overall, read it because if you don't you will miss perhaps the best book in the series.
